Admissions
Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide free learning and development services to children ages 6-weeks to 5 years from low-income families, including children with disabilities.
Application Process
Our Head Start staff can help you with understanding local requirements for enrolling your child. They will answer questions and provide you with the required forms. After you submit your online application, you will be notified within 5 business days to schedule a follow up appointment.

Are You Eligible?
Eligibility is generally based on family income at or below the poverty level according to the Poverty Guidelines published by the federal government. Children in foster care, homeless children, and children from families receiving public assistance (TANF or SSI) are eligible regardless of income.
Documentation Needed
The following documents are required to complete your application. You will need to turn them in at your follow up appointment.
1. Public Assistance Documentation (SNAP, TANF or SSI)
2. Foster Care Documentation
3. Proof of Income: Current 1040 tax form (preferred), current W2 form(s), paystubs for the previous month, social security, child support, etc.
4. Homeless or declaring zero income: Head Start staff can assist you in providing the documentation necessary for eligibility.
*Other required documents:
Child’s certified birth certificate
Child’s immunization records
Court ordered paperwork (Including custody orders, restraining orders, visitation orders, and guardianship papers)
IEP or IFSP (If the applying child is diagnosed with a disability
